I don't know why i am bringing this race up. I guess its because i got alot of questions regarding this race from top handicappers today, who struggle with these particular situations.
PARX RACE 9
going from one mile and a half to six and a half furlongs is always a daunting task
and not recommended for wagering . But does this one fit the bill or not??
SEAT OF HONOR 12-1 ML ( I believe he will be chalkk or close to it )
these horses are tough for handicappers as they have conflicting info
the negatives
1-- he will be chalk or close to it ( you can thank jamie ness ) for him possibly not taking favouritism but most likely he will be chalk.
2- his route to sprint is a karma move that does not favour these type of horses ever.
3- parx has been running early the last few weeks and the bias has been clearly the top 2 paths
the postives
1- if u have lifetime pps you will notice he did this move(well sort of ) back in 2018 when he was 5yrs old and was succesful as he jumped with the pack and jogged away by 3 lengths at this exact same distance .
2- if u saw his last race , in the post parade and on track his coat was marvelous , couldn't have looked better
3- his spacing into this race is absolutely perfect and trainer knows how to do it
4-- his pace ratings are not obvious to the blind eye and the track last out for him was dead !!!
so we come back to the most complicated question of all time
does value exist ??
should you only bet the right play in the race always regardless of price ??
do you only bet when the race favours your optimal playing ??
do you let the reversal effect beat you when horses are under 5-2 such as will be in this case ??
all tough questions, but this horse you could go either way with because he is hard to go against and hard to take.
I believe The key lies in your internal wisdom
very good race to get involved with and losts of ways it can be seen
gl
wonder how many tourney players have taken him thinking they were going to get at least 5-1 on him??
yes
